Family loses oldest member

ONE of Warrington's best-known businessmen, Mr Albert Domville, died in Warrington Hospital on Tuesday night - just seven months short of his 100th birthday. The oldest surviving member of a family that has lived in the town for almost 700 years, Mr Domville took over the furnishing stores which had been established by his father Thomas in Knutsford Road, Priestley Street and Church Street in 1924. Mr Domville and his wife, Alice Victoria, opened more shops in Buttermarket Street and Bridge Street, selling women's fashions, household appliances and angling equipment.  more...
